Tournament Bass Fishing

Hello World:

In the last year or so I've decided to take up Tournament Bass Fishing. I was skeptical at first. I was concerned how the competitive pressure would affect my passion and love for the sport and truth be told, found Tournament TV shows kinda boring...man I couldn't have been more wrong!!!

Combine mind-wracking strategy, with super high adrenaline and fierce competition and you've got the makings of an incredibly addictive and rewarding sport. Prior to tourney fishing, I thought I knew how to catch bass... boy was I wrong. My very first small event, my partner and I placed 2nd and we thought we would rule the roost!!! "This is easy!!!" Ya right!?! Subsequent tournaments and we were at the bottom of the list. Talk about kicking your confidence down a thousand notches.

But we've perservered, and overcame some severely beatup ego's to battle our way through several events, inching our way up the rankings to making the cut with the privledge to compete in final big Classic of the year.

So, this blog is an attempt to recap on what we've learned and the mistakes we made and to document our progress moving forward.
